Purpose and legal basis of data processing

We process personal data in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and other applicable data protection regulations. Which individual data is processed and how it is used depends largely on the services requested or agreed upon in each case.

Purpose for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 para. 1 b GDPR)

Personal data is processed in order to execute your orders and to carry out measures and activities within the framework of pre-contractual relationships, for example with prospective buyers of real estate. Your personal data may also be processed for certain purposes (e.g. use of your email address for marketing purposes) with your consent. You can revoke it at any time.

Recipients or categories of recipients of your data

Within Legat Living GmbH, only the internal departments that need your data receive it in order to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations or if it is required within the framework of the processing and implementation of our legitimate interest. Your data will only be passed on to external bodies

  • in the context of contract execution (e.g. notary, architects)
  • for the purpose of fulfilling legal requirements according to which we are obliged to provide information, report or pass on data or to which the passing on of data is in the public interest.
  • provided that external service companies process data on our behalf (e.g. IT service providers, marketing and sales service providers)

We will not pass on your data to third parties. Your data is subject to the same security standards as it is with us, if we commission service providers within the scope of order processing.

You can contact us using the contact form. Providing your personal data is of course voluntary. Personal data transferred by you in this context will be used exclusively for processing your inquiry, unless further use was separately consented to.

Deleting personal data

We process and store your data for the duration of our business relationship. This also includes the initiation of a contract (pre-contractual legal relationship) and the execution of a contract. In addition, we are subject to various storage and documentation obligations, which result from the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the Tax Code (AO), among others. The periods for storage and/or documentation specified there, are up to ten years beyond the end of the business relationship or the pre-contractual legal relationship. Specific legal regulations may also require longer retention periods, e.g. the preservation of evidence within the framework of legal statute of limitations. Pursuant to section 195 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB), the regular limitation period is three years, but limitation periods of up to 30 years may also apply.

Objection to advertising emails

Within the framework of the legal imprint obligation we must publish our contact data. This data is sometimes used by third parties to send unsolicited advertising and information material. We also expressly reserve the right to take legal action against the unwanted and unsolicited sending of advertising material. This applies in particular to so-called spam emails, spam letters and spam faxes. We would like to point out that the unauthorized transmission of advertising material may affect competition law, civil law and criminal law. Especially spam emails and spam faxes may lead to high claims for damages if they disrupt business operations due to overcrowding of mailboxes or fax machines.

Google AdWords

On our website we use Google AdWords, an online advertising program by Google Inc. This also involves the use of conversion tracking. With this tool, Google AdWords places a cookie on your PC when you visit our website via a Google ad. After 30 days the cookie is no longer valid. It is not used to track you. If you visit our website as a user and the cookie is still working, together with Google, we can see that you have clicked on the corresponding advertisement and that you have been redirected to our page. In this process, each Google AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies are therefore not traceable via the AdWords customers' websites. The data collected through conversion cookies is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers. As customers, we find out about the total number of users who responded to our ad and who were then directed to a website that was tagged with a conversion tracking tag. We do not receive any information during this process with which we could personally identify you as a user. If you choose not to follow the tracking process, you can disable the Google conversion tracking cookie from your internet browser. If necessary, use the browser's help function for further information. For more information about Google's privacy policy, please refer to

Use of Google Analytics

We use the web analysis service Google Analytics from Google Inc. It uses cookies. These are text files that allow for analysis of your user behaviour in relation to our website by saving them on your PC. The cookies generate information that is transmitted to a Google server. These servers are usually located in the USA, but comply with the agreement on the European Economic Area and truncate your IP address before being transmitted to the United States. Only in exceptional cases will the whole IP address be first transferred to the USA and where it is then truncated. Google evaluates the transmitted data and provides further services in this context for us as the website operator. In this process, the detected IP address is not combined with other Google services. You can prevent the storage of Google Analytics’ cookies on your computer by changing your browser settings. This allows you to exercise your right to object to the collection, processing and use of data by Google Analytics with effect for the future. To do this, you can install the Google Analytics browser opt-out add-on. This prevents Google Analytics from storing information about your website visits.

For more information, download and installation instructions for this opt-out add-on, please refer to:
